Upload files to same ipfs folder repeatedly - is it possible?

Hello

i understood that we can upload a whole folder to ipfs, which is great,
but now arises a question of can this folder be modified later on?
as i understood if the content changes - the CID also changes in ipfs.

you can not upload to the same folder after that from what I know
