Dear valued members of the Moralis Forum community,
I am writing to seek your assistance regarding an issue I have encountered while attempting to follow the instructions provided in a YouTube video tutorial on Web 3 and Firebase integration. The video in question can be found at the following URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EieJVLhpvsI.
Despite following all of the instructions outlined in the video, I have been unable to observe any events being recorded into Firestore, which is causing me some concern. To add to this, I recently came across a comment made by Eric Tang on the video’s YouTube page, suggesting that he too encountered a similar issue in January 2023, though I am unsure whether this has been raised elsewhere within the forum.
As per my understanding of Web 3 and Firebase, it appears that the events are being successfully routed to the Firebase function, as evidenced by the activity observed on the Function Usage graph. Additionally, I have noted that events are visible on the edit steam screens on the Moralis side.
I also noticed that the version of the Extension used in the video tutorial is outdated compared to the current version, and the Firestore security rules provided in the latest version differ from those shown in the video.
I am hopeful that one of you would be able to assist me in resolving this issue promptly, as it is critical to my project’s success.
Thank you in advance for your kind attention and support.
Sincerely,
Sam
