You have to be on a hosted site to use this function right ?
I think that you need to register with Sendgrid, to have your API keys set in the admin interface, create templates in Sendgrid needed for Sendgrid Verification Email Template ID field from server settings, and it should work after that.

I don’t understand the connection with local host, your Moralis server will send that email, and your Moralis server needs that email configuration.
