Moralis normalizeMetadata returns external_link vs external_url

Hi

All hope is well.

I have been saving my metadata based on the OpenSea “Standards” external_url (“This is the URL that will appear below the asset’s image on OpenSea and will allow users to leave OpenSea and view the item on your site”). I noticed that normalizeMetadata: ‘true’ returns external_link and thus null even if metadata contains external_url data.

Is there a reason that Moralis went with external_link? I thought external_url was the most widely used?

I don’t know if it was a particular reason. You say that there are examples of metadata that have external_url set and the external_link is not set?

Can you give an example?
