Can someone tell me why there isnt a bitcoin browser wallet like with ethereum - metamask?

It should be really easy to make this happen, in matter effect I created a few wallets for btc, i just never thought about doing a web3 browser extension for it.
Even though there arent smart contracts to interact with, 1 could still hold BTC in a “Betamask” - wallet and than just send payments like with ethereum - metamask.

I really never paid much attention to BTC, so if there is a wallet for BTC like metamask i never heard about it and if there isnt 1, my question is why?

what happened?
I mean would a browser wallet for btc not make the life easier aswell for users?
Like I said I actually ever use BTC and I have only electrum wallet, but I was going to pay for a flight with BTC and I just thought about when booting up electrum, that it would be easier to have a BTC extension for BTC like metamask

I don’t know how it happened that BTC was not added to some well known browser extensions like MetaMask.
